Refund Policy

1. Purpose and Applicability

This Refund and Credit Policy (“Policy”) governs all financial transactions between any user (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and SchoolingWork (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) with respect to the use of tangopilot.com and portal.tangopilot.com, an AI-powered aviation learning and guidance product developed and managed by SchoolingWork.

This Policy forms a binding component of the SchoolingWork Terms of Service (TOS) and establishes the terms under which refunds, credits, reversals, or financial adjustments may be issued.

By initiating a payment or using TangoPilot’s paid features, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy. If you do not agree, you must not make any payment or continue use of the Service.

2. Policy Objective

This Policy aims to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in all refund-related matters, while balancing consumer protection with the operational realities of digital AI-based service delivery.

Our framework rests on four core principles:

  • Transparency: All conditions, exceptions, and timelines are publicly documented and traceable.
  • Integrity: Refund eligibility is verified through objective usage data and transaction records.
  • Fairness: Each case is assessed uniformly, with clear evidentiary standards.
  • Compliance: This Policy aligns with applicable laws and digital-commerce regulations in the regions where SchoolingWork operates.

3. Coverage

This Policy applies to:

  • All paid subscriptions or one-time purchases of TangoPilot digital services.
  • Payments made for AI tools, training modules, advisory services, or educational assistance offered via TangoPilot.
  • Any additional paid features, premium extensions, or add-on integrations billed directly by TangoPilot, SchoolingWork.

This Policy does not apply to any payments made to third parties, including but not limited to:

  • External flight schools or training institutions.
  • Aviation licensing or examination authorities.
  • Courier, document verification, or health-assessment providers.
  • Independent advisors, instructors, or affiliated organizations.

In such cases, refund or cancellation requests must be directed to the relevant third party.

4. Definitions

For clarity, the following definitions apply:

  • “Subscription” – A recurring or one-time paid plan that grants access to TangoPilot services.
  • “Service Delivery” – Provisioning of digital access, study content, or advisory tools upon payment.
  • “Usage Limit” – The maximum AI, data, or module utilization allocated to a User under their plan.
  • “Fault” – A verified internal technical malfunction preventing access to purchased services.
  • “Cooling-Off Period” – The statutory withdrawal period as mandated by consumer law in certain jurisdictions (e.g., EU, UK).

5. Non-Refundable Nature of Digital Services

Due to the immediate, digital, and consumable nature of TangoPilot’s AI-based services, all payments are considered final upon activation of the service, unless otherwise specified under Sections 8, 9, or 10.

Once a User gains access to any AI-based module, learning content, or practice system, the service is deemed “delivered.” Accordingly, no automatic right to refund exists after activation, except where required by law or covered under an explicit exception below.

6. Digital Fulfillment and Confirmation

All payments trigger automatic and instantaneous provisioning of service access.
Upon payment confirmation:

  • Your account is activated, and the system usage begins counting.
  • The purchase is logged as “fulfilled” under SchoolingWork’s digital delivery records.

Once fulfillment occurs, the transaction is no longer reversible except under the narrow conditions defined herein.

7. Compliance with Consumer Protection Regulations

Where applicable, SchoolingWork complies with the EU Digital Content Directive, UK Consumer Rights Act, and relevant international equivalents.
Under such regulations, if the User has not accessed or used the service, they may withdraw within fourteen (14) days from purchase. However, once AI modules are used, this statutory right is voided, as the service is considered consumed.

8. Refunds for Technical Fault or Service Failure

A refund may be granted only when:

  • The failure arises solely from a verified internal fault in the TangoPilot system, and
  • The issue is fully attributable to SchoolingWork, not to the User’s device, network, or external service provider.

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • User error, connectivity issues, or missed deadlines.
  • Institutional rejections, misinterpretation of content, or user negligence.
  • Downtime due to force majeure or external disruptions.

Requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the transaction to support@tangopilot.com.


9. Conditional Refunds for Limited Usage

Refunds are available within seven (7) calendar days of the original purchase date only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The User has completed less than five percent (5%) of the total AI or module usage quota; and
  • The User has submitted fewer than three (3) total practice tests, mock exams, or equivalent activity logs.

9.1 Submission Procedure

Refund requests must be emailed to support@tangopilot.com within the seven-day period. Requests sent after this window or via unofficial channels (e.g., chat support, social media) will not be considered.

9.2 Verification

Upon receipt, the Company will conduct a detailed verification process involving server-side logs, AI-usage metrics, and platform interaction data. Verification is mandatory for all refund determinations and may take up to ten (10) business days.

9.3 Ineligibility

Refunds will not be issued once the service usage exceeds the thresholds above. This limitation applies uniformly to all users, without exception, to maintain procedural fairness and system integrity.

9.4 Payment Method

Eligible refunds will be processed through the same payment channel used for the original transaction. SchoolingWork is not responsible for banking delays, third-party fees, or currency conversion discrepancies.

10. Exclusions

No refunds or adjustments will be granted for:

  • Third-party service payments or integrations.
  • Expired plans, unused subscriptions, or abandoned accounts.
  • Voluntary cancellations after activation.
  • Dissatisfaction arising from subjective expectations, study outcomes, or exam results.
  • Promotional, discounted, or trial-period purchases.

11. Chargebacks and Unauthorized Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or unauthorized payment reversal without following this Policy constitutes a breach of the Terms of Service.
SchoolingWork reserves the right to:

  • Suspend the associated user account immediately,
  • Recover administrative and legal fees incurred, and
  • Pursue legal remedies to recover losses resulting from invalid chargebacks.

12. Data Retention and Privacy

All refund-related records, including payment confirmations and verification logs, are retained securely for a minimum of 24 months.
Data is processed exclusively for audit, compliance, and dispute-resolution purposes under the SchoolingWork Privacy Policy.

13. Force Majeure

SchoolingWork is not liable for refund delays or denials resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
natural disasters, cyber incidents, power outages, governmental orders, or civil unrest.

14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

This Policy and any dispute arising from it shall be governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
All disputes shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in Dhaka, conducted in English, pursuant to the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) rules.

No class or collective actions shall be permitted.

16. Policy Updates

SchoolingWork reserves the right to amend or modify this Policy at any time, at its sole discretion.
Revisions will be published at www.schoolingwork.net/tangopilot/refund-policy, and the “Last Updated” date will reflect the latest change. Continued use of the service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

17. Entire Agreement

This Refund and Credit Policy, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitutes the complete agreement between the User and SchoolingWork regarding payment reversals and supersedes all prior written or verbal representations.
